33-year-old retired real estate mogul that travels the world full time. I started photography about 6 years ago as a hobby. Now it has become my full-time passion.
Since I am traveling the world, might as well show everyone the beauty that I see every day. I am a private pilot and a commercially rated drone pilot. I also coach my special needs younger brothers Special Olympics sports teams when I am home.
Why do you travel and photograph your journeys?
I love to meet people, learn about other cultures, and see a destination from a local point of view.
What is your favourite thing or item to photograph
Landscapes
What’s your go-to travel hack?
Hmmmmm. I would say using my Lee filter- a big stopper on my wide-angle lens during the day. I like to go on cruises and it’s hard to get a photo at a destination without a hundred tourists in the shot. Using this filter allows me to get a minute-long shutter DURING THE DAY!
Got any gear you can’t travel without?
My GoPro and lume cube light.
What destination are you eager to go back to?
Dying to go back and do a 3 month-long trip around the islands in Asia
How do you stay safe when you’re travelling?
If needed, I call local authorities and hire someone to follow/show me around a destination.
What’s the best way to experience a destination like a local?
Contact a local via any social media platform. Tell them I’m coming to their area and ask if they would like to show me around and maybe photograph with me if they are into photography. I like to teach and help with photography to anyone that wants to learn.
What’s your favourite word in another language?
Wunderbar. In German that means wonderful
